Workers Compensation

    Dr. Harrison has been very involved in helping employers lower their workers compensation costs while at the same time providing high quality care to truly injured workers.  The key to lowering workers compensation costs is preventive screening of high risk job descriptions attained through job specific post offer examinations, quick and appropriate treatment, and appropriate return to work programs.  Post Offer Examinations will set a baseline for employees who if injured are only entitled to be brought back to that baseline, thus limiting the employers liability.  Instead of patients sitting at home on pain medication (usually the case with walk in clinic oversight), wondering why they aren't being treated, we provide chiropractic and physical therapy simultaneously with short term pain management (if needed) administered by our medical doctor.  Most minor sprains and strains should respond within two weeks and the patient is back to work (and in many cases the patient can work with restrictions while treating), if not we will usually move to MRI of the involved area(s) and if positive they are referred for orthopedic consultation (all withing three weeks).  If negative, then we may need to continue with chiropractic and/ or physical therapy.  Malingering patients are weeded out with effective functional capacity evaluations.  These functional capacity evaluations also allow us to establish "real" work restrictions, not restrictions pulled out of thin air by the local walk in clinics.  A great deal of money can be saved by keeping the injured worker working while being treated or at least getting them back to work more quickly.  We can treat effectively injuries resulting in neck and back pain, sprains and strains, shoulder pain, elbow pain, wrist pain, hip pain, knee pain and ankle pain.  Please feel free to contact Dr. Harrison personally to answer any questions you may have regarding treatment.  If you are an employer and would like to learn more about how you can save money on your workers compesation please call Dr. Harrison and set a free demonstration and tour of the office.  We provide full service or collection only drug testing, DOT testing and blood alcohol screeing for post injury.  We are aligned with Quest and Lab Corp.
